JCRELC- Content Update Policy

The Content Update Policy of the English Literature and Culture Journal (JCRELC) ensures the accuracy and reliability of published work. While limited corrections are permitted before publication, only exceptional updates are allowed afterward. This policy protects academic integrity while offering a structured process for requesting justified updates to published research articles.

At the English Literature and Culture Journal (JCRELC), we follow a strict policy for changes after publication ...

Pre-Publication Updates

  • Authors may make limited updates before the article’s final publication.
  • These updates must be minor and cannot include a complete rewrite of the work.
  • Examples of acceptable changes include correcting author names, affiliations, typographical errors, equations, or inaccurate values.
  • The goal of such updates is to maintain accuracy without altering the article’s overall content.

Post-Publication Updates

  • Once an article is published (both in PDF and HTML formats), any approved updates will be reflected only in the journal’s official database.
  • As JCRELC is an open-access journal, published work can be freely downloaded and shared under the CC-BY-NC-ND license.
  • After publication, copies may also be stored in multiple external repositories worldwide. The journal cannot update or correct these external versions and is not responsible for any outdated copies available outside its database.

Requesting Content Updates

  • Authors who wish to update a published article must send a formal request to the editorial office, clearly explaining the required changes.
  • The editorial board will carefully review the request and decide whether the update is justified.
  • If approved, the update will be applied only to the version stored in JCRELC’s database. However, the journal cannot guarantee that the changes will appear in external repositories.

Commitment to Integrity

By following these rules, JCRELC ensures the reliability of its publications while allowing only necessary, limited corrections. This helps maintain both academic credibility and the journal’s responsibility to the scholarly community.
